Divorce and Covid-19
2020 will go down in the history books as the year of the pandemic. The far reaching affects of Covid-19 are not limited to our health and finances. In fact, the pandemic 'lock down' has wreaked havoc on marriages across the globe.
According to a NY Post article on September 1st, in the United States, "The number of people looking for divorces was 34 percent higher from March through June compared to 2019, according to new data collected
Legal Templates, a company that provides legal documents." In fact 31% of those couples acknowledged that the pandemic and more specifically, the lockdown caused 'irreparable damage' to their marriage.
